“ Everything Bagel, fresh out of the oven, buttered w Avocado and Bacon. Wow! Crispy outside, chewy inside and just delicious. And to all the people saying this doesnt stand up to NY bagels, it is a well established fact that the water, etc. is very different up there, and that that alone can impact dough, texture, etc. This place puts out amazing bagels in or out of the DC area. Quit comparing everything to NY, be appreciative for good things other places, or just go back already. ”
“ So Ive been ordering from Brooklyn Bagels forever! Ive lived in VA since 2000. I moved here from NY and they were the closest thing to NY authenticity in the area. The worse thing that has happened is that the county remodeled the streets in the area recently and there is now no parking so its dicey getting your orders. Today I made an order for delivery for my fam and because I have the flu and am miserably confined I messed up one of the bagels I couldnt find a means of creating a sandwich with avocado, tomato and lettuce, so I ordered a everything bagel and then put in the notes the additions thinking that I would be charged. Once the order was received I got a call from them that started with an accusation that I ordered a bagel for 1.75 with all these additions that I didnt pay for. I tried to explain that it was just me trying to order an item that I didnt see on the online menu and so I made the note in hopes that I could pay for the additional items. It was met with continued statements of me not getting the items because I didnt pay for them. I took a moment and said sirI have been a loyal customer of yours for years. I simply was trying my best to customise a bagel, but didnt find the right means and so used the notes box. He said well the only way you can get the order is if you cancel it here and you redo it. Instead of getting more frustrated I took a deep breath. I know the times were living in. Everyones on edge, too many people are hurting and angry for reasons they cant even articulate within themselves sometimes. And so I reminded myselfwere all suffering and so the best thing to do is simply be kind. And so I said sir Ive been a loyal customer of yours forever. Im not trying to take something that I didnt pay for. I was simply hoping that you would charge me for the things I noted. He said the system doesnt work that way. And then he took a breath and said, you know what, Ill do this for you. Ill make the sandwich this time and not charge you. But the next time. I said sir, again, it was a mistake. Im not the person to try to get over and get something I didnt pay for. He said ok. I understand. He then took a breath and said my name and then said this one is on me. I thanked him. The bagels arrived promptly. I couldnt have one because my stomach can take NOTHING! but liquid for the next few days, but this interaction reminded me of something very importantin these times, were all going through something that is hard, for some miserable, for others so painful we dont know how we will get through. it takes nothing to be kind. I was kind to him lord knows what was going on in his day prior to my order and in turn he was kind to me. It was a small lesson that we can all take in life. Especially now. Thank you Brooklyn Bagels for always being wonderful. Love your food and your staff. Walk good and be safe out there. Were going to get through. Just hold the ones you love as close as you can. And remember all is just a stage. My oldest daughter has been eating Brooklyn Bagels all her life. Shes about to go off to college after 18 years. Perspective!! This too shall pass! ”

“ Love this spot! They have awesome bagels that are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Excellent cream cheese and lox bagel at a really reasonable price. My favorite bagel flavors here are egg, pumpernickel, jalapeno cheddar, everything, and french toast best enjoyed the same day. Im a big fan of their scallion cream cheese as well. Quick service and the cost is reasonable given current food prices. ”
“ Great local bagel place! Our bagels were really tasty, a reasonable price, and the staff were excellent. They have a website that allows you to order for pick up and even though we got there earlier than we expected, the staff asked us for our name and were able to get it started and get it to us quickly. They have a large selection of baked goods, some salads, soft drinks, sodas and juices in the refrigerators. Theyve got indoor and outdoors seating, hand sanitizer and napkins at each table, and lots of utensils. We got the brownie and the cheese danish. Overall it was a 55 experience because of everything else, but the eggs and cream cheese couldve been a little bit better seasoned. Something to be mindful of is that theres a 10 minimum on card orders in store and 15 minimum mobile pick up order. ”
